Rohtang pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3979mts (13054ft) above sea level located on the eastern Pir Panjal range. About 53 km from Manali it connects Kullu valley with Lahaul and Spiti which in turn provide access to Leh. It is known for its scenic beauty and it holds strategic importance to India.
It offers beautiful sights of glaciers and peaks. Rohtang means ground of corpses. Traffic Jams are quite common here. An 8.5 km long Rohtang tunnel is under construction since 2010 by the Indian Government. It could be open by the end of the year 2019.

Hidimba temple is also known as Dhungari temple located in Manali. It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi (Wife of Bheemasena, one of five Pandava brothers from epic Mahabharatha).
